Worldview Collapse

  • The Justin Center for Transformation and Healing 900 Long Lake Road, Suite 215 New Brighton, MN, 55112 United States (map)

Join us for this event to learn how to support clients who are navigating leaving high-demand religions and cults, led by Hannah Ripple Ricks. She will provide an overview of recent trends of disaffiliation and the significant distress experienced by those who doubt. Hannah will discuss individual, existential, identity, and social crises, considering the intersectional impact on marginalized cultural identities. With her own personal experiences of worldview collapse and identity reconstruction, Hannah hopes to help others better understand the complexities experienced by these niche sub-cultural groups. She will provide 90 minutes of presenting to address areas of clinical considerations and 30 minutes of Q&A.

By the end of this event, you will:

-Understand the wide-ranging impact of leaving a high-demand group

-Identify areas of clinical concern facing this population

-Identify helpful and harmful approaches in working with this population
